This cake smash & splash photoshoot is specially designed for babies celebrating their first birthday.

How does it work?

I’d love to help you celebrate your baby’s first birthday in a fun and creative way! If you’re interested in a cake smash photoshoot, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you understand how it works.

  • Contact Me: The first step is to check my availability. Please fill in the contact form with as many details as possible to help me better understand your vision and preferences. I recommend booking at least four weeks before your baby’s birthday. I take a limited number of photoshoots each month to ensure the highest quality of service, so it’s best to book well in advance.
    Photoshoots take place at our home studio located at 1 Hilltop Way, HA7 3DB, Stanmore, London.
    All sessions are by appointment only and our hours are Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Phone Consultation: We’ll get to know each other better during our phone consultation and plan your session. We’ll discuss important details such as outfit options, desired set-ups, allergies, and your preferred style, ensuring I understand precisely what you’re looking for and confirming that I’m the right photographer for you.
  • Secure Your Booking: Once we’ve discussed your vision, you can secure your session with a £99 non-refundable retainer, which will be deducted from your final order.
  • Choose Your Package: You can choose your preferred package during the booking process.
  • Provide The Cake: The birthday cake is not included in the photoshoot. I encourage you to provide a small cake in the agreed-upon colours and theme. This way, we can ensure that the cake fits your preferences and allergies.
  • The Photoshoot: I’ll ensure that you and your baby have a memorable experience during the photoshoot. Your baby will have fun destroying the cake, followed by a splash in a bubble bath to wash off the cake. I’ll capture all the special moments!
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance for your session is due at the end of the photoshoot. You can pay by bank transfer, card, or cash.
  • Viewing Your Images: About 4-5 weeks after your photoshoot, you’ll have access to a private online gallery to view your fully edited images and select your favorites.
  • Ordering Additional Products: You can purchase extra digital files, prints, and wall art separately as a la carte products:
    • Additional high-resolution digital image: £30
    • A detailed price list for additional products can be found on the Wall Art page.
  • Delivery of Your Products: Once you’ve selected your images, you can download your digital files. Your prints and wall art will be delivered to your home within up to 3 weeks.

It’s important to note that unedited images are not included in any packages and are unavailable for purchase.

A cake smash photo session is a great way to celebrate a child’s first birthday and capture the joy and excitement of this special milestone. These fun, playful, and messy sessions create unique and creative photos that capture a child’s personality and spirit. The images produced will be cherished memories that can be shared with friends and family for years.

A cake smash photography session will be tailored to suit the interests and personality of your child, making for a unique and personalized experience. The images are one-of-a-kind, different from traditional portrait photos, making them a great addition to any family photo album.

The photoshoot’s success largely depends on your baby’s cooperation and mood on the day of the session. Although I cannot guarantee specific outcomes, I will do my utmost to ensure that we create some precious memories.

A Smash the Cake session focuses on capturing the special moment of the baby’s first cake-smashing experience. All you need to bring is a safe cake for the baby to touch and eat.

We provide beautiful, unique gowns and outfits for the mother during the photoshoot. We also have different outfit options for the baby and any other siblings who may participate in the photo shoot. While we have plenty of outfits to choose from, it’s always a good idea to bring a backup if you have a specific outfit in mind for the occasion.

Lastly, it’s a good idea to bring a change of clothes for the baby in case they get too messy. However, don’t stress too much about having everything perfect. The session’s goal is to have fun and let me capture the memories.

Having your family present during the cake smash photoshoot can create truly unique and memorable photos. Whether it’s a sweet embrace with your partner or a playful interaction with your children or pets, these moments will be captured forever in your photos. I recommend bringing your husband, partner, children, or pets to the photoshoot. They are a crucial part of your story, and their presence will add to the joy and excitement of the experience.

The special occasion of the baby’s first birthday is a time to celebrate. Having the whole family present for the photoshoot will create memories that will last a lifetime. Including the whole family in a cake smash session also creates a wonderful opportunity for bonding and creating new memories together. So don’t hesitate to bring your loved ones and furry friends along.
